If you received a misdated letter from Ocwen,
you could be eligible to receive a payment.
What is this about?
Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC (“Ocwen”) has established a voluntary claim program to provide payments of up to $3,000 per loan to certain borrowers who may have received letters from Ocwen that contained an incorrect date.
An eligible borrower:
- May have received an incorrectly dated letter between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2014 that contained a deadline(s) for borrower action; and
- Was subsequently referred to foreclosure during the January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2014 review period.
Ocwen sincerely regrets any difficulty these letters may have caused and is committed to preventing such errors in the future.
When will I get a check?
Once your claim has been received, we will send you a confirmation notice so you know that your claim is being reviewed. If there are questions about your claim, we will contact you. Claim forms that have been received are currently being processed. We expect the majority of claims will be reviewed within 180 days of the claim form deadline. If your claim is approved, we will mail you a check. By accepting the payment, you are not releasing any claims you may have against Ocwen.
